Head to the "Geocaching Capital of the Midwest"™ for the West Bend $1,000 Cache Ba$h from Friday, August 13 to Saturday August 14.
The West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h is an annual free family-oriented get-together for geocachers. Organized by the West Bend Chamber of Commerce and local geocachers, the Cache Ba$h is a full weekend of geocaching activities, special events and fun for all ages. With more than 500 caches within a 7-mile radius, there’s no better place in the Midwest for geocaching. See tentative event schedule.
Thanks to geocachers like you, the event drew more than 1,100 attendees last year—which qualifies the Ba$h for Geocaching Mega Event status!
This year’s event should be better than ever. Besides the opportunity to socialize with a lot of other geocachers in a great geocaching-friendly city, we will again be giving away $1000 in cash prizes as well as geocoins, geocaching items, and other great prizes. We're also currently planning to hide 50 new permanent caches of varying terrain and difficulty in the West Bend area for you to find!

While you’re in West Bend, be sure to visit some of the community’s outstanding attractions, including the award-winning Museum of Wisconsin Art, West Bend Sculpture Walk, Old Courthouse Museum and Jailhouse Museum. The 3rd annual West Bend $1000 Cache Ba$h is just around the corner. We'd like to get some action snaps that capture some of your awesome enthusiasm for this sport on film! Ready to start? To enter the contest, simply submit your best geo-action photo – of you and your geo-cache team during your geo-caching adventure. Include a caption of the location of your adventure along with your picture. Post your best Geo-Cache Ba$h photos on Facebook - the photo with the most votes from the West Bend & Cache Ba$h community will win $50 in Chamber Gift Checks and the 1st place winner will win $25 in Chamber Gift Checks. Chamber Gift Checks are good in any of West Bend Chamber businesses.
